~ Field trip: this month the virtue we are learning about is generosity. The St. Nick stories were a perfect introduction to this topic. But to really experience generosity we wanted to do something kind for others. We decided to go to the co-op to buy food to bring to the food shelf. Grace and Jackson insisted on using their own money. Then we went to the bookstore and they each picked out two small toys to donate to a local charity collecting for children. After all of that we enjoyed a gingerbread cookie at the bakery.
