Last year we dedicated one whole weekend to making gifts. This year, with so many family gatherings spread out on separate weekends, we didn't have any full weekends in December. Given how meaningful this part of our holiday has become I couldn't help being disappointed at first. What we were able to do was dedicate three Sundays to our making. In the end I was surprised to find that I liked this better than I thought I would. It actually made it feel like we had more time (which I guess we did). Next year however we all agreed that we want to start in November to ensure enough time to finish things.
