Christmas Morning
Oh Santa did such a good job this year. Dolls and furniture for Grace's dollhouse. A hand drill and sander for Jackson. A cash register and a game for both. A little doll for Nora. I wish I had more pictures. I was enjoying the moment I guess. There is nothing better then seeing the sparkle in their eyes on Christmas morning.

Super Easy Christmas Cookies
This year I opted for the easiest Christmas cookie I know- the chocolate covered crackers and peanut butter cookies. Delicious and kid friendly. I may have eaten most of them myself.

Seven
Yes seven. This (as always I guess) feels so BIG to me!
Her birthday consisted of family stopping by throughout the day mixed in with some sledding and cookie making. As usual she spent most of the day in her pajamas. I think it was just right.
For her present this year Ryan and I got her some really nice art supplies- colored pencils, crayons, drawing books, and a folder to keep everything in. For a little personal touch I added some fabric to the cover of her drawing book along with a pocket to keep a pen in.
She has been busy filling it up every since.

Jackson's Rocket
Jackson has been really interested in how things work lately. Today he decided he was going to make a rocket. So he drew a rocket and cut it out... but how to get it to fly, that was the real puzzler. He went through a few ideas but then finally wondered if the wind could make it fly. He checked outside and sure enough it was windy. So he tied a string to his rocket and headed out. It worked. He was so proud. Me too.

A Little More About the Jams
I fell in love with this fabric at the store. We love cardinals here, especially in the winter time. When I got it home though I wasn't so sure, it seemed a little too dark and boyish. But once I started turning it into pajamas I fell in love all over again. And it helped that they also loved them so much. This year I did each one a little different choosing different fabric to pair with the cardinals. I did, however, make them reversable again like I did last year. Those jams still fit them so I thought it would be a good idea (plus the cute factor).
One of my favorite Christmas traditions that we do around here for sure.

A Snow Day
Today was a snow day of sorts. Grace was actually sick from school with a cough and cold... but even if she hadn't been we would have had to keep her home anyway on account of the fact that our road didn't get plowed out until this afternoon. So Ryan got to stay home with us today too. And what's better then a snow day really. Nothing I say. And never mind a cough- when it snows 17 inches you are required to play in it. I think it was my favorite family day we have had in a long time.
